LIVE: Real Madrid vs Mallorca

24′ OFF THE BAR! It’s a brilliant chance for Madrid as Benzema chips the ball into the box for Vinicius. He gets his head to the ball under pressure and it loops over Reina and off the top of the crossbar.

22′ It’s Kubo that steps up to take the set-piece and even though he’s a long way out from goal, he has a shot. He can’t keep his shot down though and it doesn’t trouble Courtois as it sails over the crossbar.

21′ Mallorca are on the attack following the restart and Vinicius catches the back of Kubo’s heels to give away a free-kick in a dangerous position outside the box.

Vinícius Júnior

Real Madrid

19′ MADRID TAKE THE LEAD! Vinicius runs onto Modric’s pass, and it looks like Bale got in his way at first, but he reaches it. He gets his head up and keeps his cool as he fires his shot over Reina into the back of the net. 1-0 Madrid!

L. Modrić

Real Madrid

19′ Modric has a lot of space to run into when he gets on the end of Ramos’ long pass and he slides it through for Vinicius.

18′ Benzema’s shot on the left is blocked but Madrid keep hold of the ball and get it to Carvajal. He curls a great cross into the box, aiming for the Frenchman, but Raillo rises ahead of him to head it out for a corner.

16′ GOOD CHANCE! Modric nicks the ball off Febas and gives it to Hazard who has space to run into. He spots Vinicius’ run to his left, but the winger can’t find the back of the net as he fires his shot wide of the near post.

14′ Away from home, Mallorca have only won one of their last 19 LaLiga matches (D3 L15), which was the 2-1 win over Eibar in March. st

12′ Mallorca are just starting to put a bit more pressure on Madrid now as Sediar takes the ball around Carvajal to the byline on the left. He squares it back across the six-yard box, but Courtois gets down at his near post to push it away.

10′ GREAT SAVE! Rodriguez’s cross is blocked and the ball falls to Baba outside the box. He hits the shot first time and it swerves past Ramos’ head and Courtois does really well to see it and gets a strong hand to it.

A. Budimir

Yellow Card

8′ Budimir receives an early yellow card after he catches Varane in the face with his elbow when they both went for the ball.

7′ GOOD SAVES! Benzema brings down the ball on his chest and fires his shot towards goal, but Reina is in the right place to push it away. Madrid keep hold of the ball and some space opens up for Bale outside the box. He curls his effort towards goal, but the goalkeeper dives across to save that one as well.

6′ Vinicius makes a driving run down the left wing and plays a good cross into Hazard in the middle. He’s quickly closed down by two Mallorca defenders though and he’s forced out wide.

4′ Mallorca have the chance to move upfield now but Kubo is caught by Ramos in the centre circle. They take the free-kick short, but Rodriguez’s pass into Pozo in the final third is poor and Madrid come away with it.

2′ Valverde wins back the ball in midfield and touches it onto Hazard who runs at Mallorca’s defence. He plays it out to Benzema on the left, but his cross into the box is poor and it’s an easy clearance for Valjent.

1′ Benzema gets the game underway for Madrid!
