In terms of MLS playoff series that featured virtually non-stop entertainment, you’d be hard-pressed to top the 2016 Eastern Conference Championship clash between Canadian rivals Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact.
After winning the first leg in Montreal 3-2 and adding another goal early in the second leg, the Impact appeared to be in the driver’s seat and on the road to MLS Cup. But what happened next was the stuff of legend, with the teams going all the way to extra time in one of the most up-and-down, back-and-forth Audi MLS Cup Playoffs series the league has ever seen.
Starting at 8 pm ET on Tuesday, you can re-live this MLS Classic as part of MLSsoccer.com’s ongoing series of all-time great games.
