LIVE: Barcelona vs Levante

BARCELONA SUBS: Arthur, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Inaki Pena, Riqui Puig, Alex Collado.

BARCELONA (4-3-3): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba; Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong; Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Ansu Fati.

Levante produced a brilliant performance to defeat Barca 3-1 on home soil in November, stunning the Catalan outfit. However, their form since then has been indifferent to say the least, which has seen the club slip down the table. Paco Lopez’s men have lost three matches on the bounce in LaLiga, including their 2-0 defeat to Osasuna last time out. They have to do something to stop their slide and beating Barca to earn a double over the reigning league champions would be a good start.

Barcelona responded to their defeat to Valencia last week with a thumping 5-0 win over Leganes in the Copa del Rey, but now Quique Setien’s men need to issue a statement in the league to ensure that the gap to Real Madrid at the top does not widen. Los Blancos secured a vital win over Atletico Madrid to extend their lead at the top of LaLiga to six points. The Catalan club cannot afford that gap to get larger, putting pressure on them to earn a victory tonight over a Levante side that beat them earlier in the season.

Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the LaLiga clash between Barcelona and Levante at Camp Nou.
